Re-match makes for Dramatic 145-pound Championship Fight on July 16th at Rumble @ The Roseland 58
What: Rumble @ The Roseland 58 hosted by the Full Contact Fighting Federation (FCFF).
Where: Downtown Portland at the Roseland Theater: 8 NW 6th Ave Portland, OR 97209. Tickets sold at www.ticketswest.com or Safeway Tickets West locations. Also tickets at the door. Doors open at 6, fights start at 7 pm.
Why: The FCFF is known nationally as the "Golden Gloves" of mma, and hosts about six events per year in Portland, Oregon - along with 3 to 4 events in Lincoln City at Chinook Winds Casino Resort as "Caged on the Coast."
Who: Two Championship Fights in the 145-pound and 125-pound weight class divisions. Plus, one record breaking female fight in the 225-pound division, the heaviest women's division, by 70 pounds, ever fought within the FCFF.
Championship Fight Summary: In the Main Event for the interim FCFF Featherweight Championship, Austin Springer and Andreas Correa will slug it out for the 3rd time in an epic re-match. This time the stakes are higher; both fighters have won once against each other and both are eager to leave with the belt. In their first meeting Springer earned a victory, and in their second bout Correa picking up the victory due to Kimora and earned a FCFF Superfight Belt. Austin Springer is claiming that he is going for the Knock Out while Andreas Correa is being more reserved in his comments. Their last fight was at Rumble @ The Roseland 43 in May of 2009.
In the co-main event, Champion Shaun Nance will defend his 125-pound Title against State Champion wrestler David Converse. After losing his first MMA bout, Converse has won 5 straight to enter this bout with a ton of confidence. This promises to be a "fight of the night" contender.
